Greek-born designer Mary Katrantzou has focused on graphic art to be her area of expertise. She possesses the talent to work with form and colour, which interact in a unique fashion. Her collections are a play on the senses, with unique eye-catching patterns that flatter the feminine silhouette and at the same time express attitude and symmetry. She is inspired by art and design and each season she creates thematic collections that have ranged from perfume bottle prints to the world of interiors in her latest collection. Her collections are sold in over 25 countries, in 70 boutiques and department stores worldwide. She has collaborated with Christian Louboutin, Swarovski Elements, and in February her second range with Topshop will be launched. This year she was a finalist at the Dorchester Fashion Prize and was nominated for a British Fashion Award in the Emerging Talent category. In November 2010 she was awarded the Swiss Textiles Award. 2010 also saw the launch of her first perfume “Trompe L’oeil” with Six Scents.
