Francesco Jacobello, portraits

Into, under, far in between, through it, in it, and above by Nadia Moro

“I was born in 1970 in Militello in Val Di Catania, Sicily, Italy. I have always had a pure passion for Art. I remember at junior school my teacher taking me to other class rooms to show my drawings… I used to hate it, simply because I was a quite shy young boy! The teacher loved the fact that she only had such a great talented pupil in her class room. Thinking about it now, it makes me smile, the all situation I mean… I went to college but problems led me to develop my style and skills elsewhere, with other great artists and schools around Italy and abroad! So, more than 80% of what you see, it’s just what I wanted to achieve in all this past years and I only have to thank my own hard work and dreams…! I do believe that Art, like life is: Evolution… We all need to evolve in many different ways and is good to be that way, stagnation is a killer and I try to avoid it when I can feel it coming… I usually try to re-invent myself and if possible revisit the surroundings for new inspiration everywhere, even the smallest things… if you have an artistic mind, you will know what I am trying to say…! I have moved frequently around Italy and Europe since I was 16, I always have had a fascination with the United Kingdom, London, the red busses and the British life style. I moved to the UK 10 years ago, it was somewhat difficult at the beginning, specially if you are on your own, but looking back now, I think it has been all worth it…! I have exhibited in various galleries, libraries and other venues, first in Italy and the UK, many art works of mine are part of public and private collections in Sicily, Italy, UK, Sweden, France, Switzerland, New York, Canada, Germany, Florida. Thanks for reading my profile, I hope you enjoy my Art and if you are interested about my work, please do get in touch, but don’t forget to keep on EVOLVING…! Please also visit my facebook fan-page and become a fan for news about new works, exhibitions and other interesting stuff about me!”
