Mind-Blowing stone sculptures By Japanese artist Jiyuseki

Japan based artist Jiyuseki was born in Matsumoto city in 1958, who carve sculptures in stones. He studied technical course in Tokyo National University of fine arts, from 1979 to 1982. When he was in university, he found himself interested in creating something from hard metal and spent 7 years working with metal before diverting his attention to stones. He uses stones found in a river side near to his home, and he makes sculptures that juxtapose the original shape and hardness of the material with surprising humor and texture.
