Paper adventures with Alice in Wonderland by Adamova Marina

“I am a Russian paper artist and illustrator known as Talamaska. Two years ago I made my first series of paper illustrations of “Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland” by L.Carroll. That’s where my way as paper artist started. There were three things I liked the most: sharp knife I use, second meaning in fairytales and symbolism in illustration.

I designed and cut 5 Alice’s paper-cuts (25×25 cm) that were shown on my first personal exhibition in Moscow. Though the time passed I’m still obsessed with the story – I want to speak about it more and from different angles. That’s why this year I have great plans for the new Alice’s series and there’re some new paper-cuts I’d like to show as well.”
