The Snow Monkeys of Nagano Japan

A native species to Japan. They get their name “snow monkey” by living in areas blanketed by snow for months each year.
No other nonhuman primate is more northern-living, nor lives in a colder climate.
Existing in perfect playful harmony with the natural mountain hot springs.

Eugene picked up his Dad’s Nikon F when he was 10 years old and has continued shooting with the same wonder and passion for the next 40 years.
He is an avid traveler with a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, all living creatures, and made made designs
He also enjoys photographing talented artists, models, performers and dancers. To capture their creativity, expression, and spirit of live performance on stage, and in the studio.
He is currently based in Shanghai and is the photographer for The Pearl theater. His work often appears in the local Shanghai online events magazine ‘Smart Shanghai’.
