Vintage Collage pieces were created using scanned ephemera, textures, watercolor and acrylic brushes. All compiled in Photoshop
“I saw a quote from Independent film maker Jim Jarmusch that I completely identify with. He said: “Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, streets signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadow. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work will be authentic.”
My work is a collage of ideas, thoughts, moods, memories, technology, textures and colors. I am inspired by other artists, places and random images. My work is a combination of traditional media and digital. I combine both worlds in Photoshop. Photoshop is my main tool, but I use other software like Illustrator, Corel Painter and C4D for my 3D elements. For traditional media I use watercolors, ink and pencil sketches. I constantly evolve and adapt to new media, software and graphic trends but always keeping true to myself.”
