“One day while cleaning the printing oil from the perspex, I saw it left wonderful marks on the dirty plate. I was intrigued – they simply had to be used!
I used a clean piece of paper and made a few prints and started looking at the marks. It is like finding images in clouds. Then I started drawing into the marks, giving what I saw more definition and form – monsters, mummies, faces and people emerged from the printed ‘clouds’. I would not try to pshyco-analyse these sketches – but I hope they speak to you too!”
